Crandall University Spring Convocation

Crandall University Convocation

Saturday May 7th is the spring convocation at Crandall University. The Education degrees and certificates will be handed out at 9am while the remaining Bachelor’s degrees will be handed out at 2pm. Both ceremonies will be held in The Court (Gymnasium).

This is an excerpt about Convocation from Crandall’s website:
Convocation is the culmination of a student’s education as well as the key event of the academic year for any university community. Functionally, it is the event where the Chancellor, on behalf of the Senate, confers the various certificates and degrees upon those eligible graduates.

Symbolically, however, convocation is of far greater significance. Convocation is a celebration of excellence and accomplishment for each graduate. It is an opportunity to honour the exceptional; it is a time to recall fond memories of people and events that have made the university significant. Convocation is a threshold moment where the old is behind and the new and unseen lays ahead in a wonderfully uncertain way.

Convocation is a time to hold hands, and hearts, with those who have dramatically affected each others’ lives in ways that will unfold over a lifetime.

As a Convention, we are thankful for our University, the faculty, staff and students. And we celebrate with the graduates on this milestone and anticipate how God will use them in their chosen fields to impact the world for Jesus Christ.
