Bruce Fawcett Addresses Students at Last Chapel

bruce-fawcett-april-16Dr. Bruce Fawcett addressed the university student body this week, providing encouraging words as students prepare for exams and the summer months ahead. “You [students] breathe life into this university” expressed Dr. Fawcett, “allowing our phenomenal faculty and staff to come to work every day and enjoy it.” Dr. Fawcett made a point to thank all students for choosing Crandall and wished them well as they prepare for the summer.

Along with expressing his gratitude to the students, faculty and staff for a fantastic 2015-2016 year, Dr. Fawcett also shared a personal update regarding some changes coming to the university. Throughout the summer, Dr. Fawcett will be taking some recommended time off to deal with a health issue that will require surgery. Dr. Fawcett expressed his confidence in his surgeon and how he is planning to be back full swing in the Fall. The Fawcett family asks for privacy at this time as they prepare for the upcoming months.

During Dr. Fawcett’s absence, Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Jon Ohlhauser, along with the help of the President’s Council, will guide the university and share duties while the President’s on leave.

Dr. Robert Knowles, Vice President for Advancement, closed the chapel with prayer for the students, faculty and staff.
