Wallace River United Baptist Church Celebrates Baptisms and Growth
Wallace River United Baptist Church recently celebrated a number of baptisms, bringing the total to 28 people in the past five years. The Cumberland County, Nova Scotia, church also reports that during this time 30 people have come to faith in Jesus Christ and 40 new members have been received into the church. Average attendance has increased from 35 to 59, with 20 in a weekly Bible study.
Members credit the work of Pastor Jack Biggins and his wife Patrcia in prayer, visitation and teaching. They also point to a number of initiatives to involve new people, including monthly music nights, a Christian marriage course, fellowship evenings at the church and in homes, the friendliness of the church, and a new church constitution.
Most of all, they thank God. He “gets much praise from the growing congregation of Wallace River United Baptist Church,” say members Phil and Bev Jones. “The Lord has brought growth at Wallace River United Baptist Church. It is truly His work and is in answer to our prayers. We worship Him & thank Him for His faithfulness.”
