In 2019 we launched the Lighthouse Church Network!

If we are to transform our Atlantic region, we need churches with a “whatever it takes attitude” and followers of Jesus with a deep conviction that it is “not about me”, it’s about the legacy I can leave behind by playing my part in building God’s Kingdom.

Now is the time for us to create and leave a new heritage for future generations. It will demand sacrifice and change. This will be painful but pain is inevitable. The question is this: will we choose the pain that leads to death or the pain that leads to life?

The Centre for New Congregations exists to work with churches that choose the pain that leads to life and make choices that build the Kingdom. Some churches need to be re-planted, merge, begin or become a new “site”, while some communities need a brand new “church plant”. Multiplication must become our heartbeat.

If your church has a dream to reshape itself for a new day and to leave a lasting legacy for future generations, if you are willing to consider choosing the pain that leads to life and a brighter future, then please contact the Centre for New Congregations!

We have adopted a strategy that will see 65 new congregations rise up all across our region by 2025 – these will be a mix of new church plants, fresh expressions and more. And this is only the beginning!

Consider how you can get involved:

  • Is God calling you to church planting?
  • Is your church considering sponsoring a new church?
  • Pray – Commit to praying for our church planters and church plants
  • Encourage – call, email or text our church planters.
  • Engage – check out the church plants on social media and interact with them.
  • Give. You can do this online. In the Message/Instructions section “Church Planting” or name the specific church plant you would like to support.
  • Church Planters at CBAC A private Facebook group for church planters and others interested in church planting. It’s a safe place to share ideas, struggles and successes.
  • Free Bibles – The Bible League is offering support for Canadian Church Plants by providing free Bibles and Discipleship material. There is an application process to receive the material. The Bible League wants to be a blessing to Canadian Church Plants in providing Bibles and support literature.
