Leadership Academy Masterclass – Margaret Totten

Title: Unspoken at Church: Giving voice to the mental health crisis
Margaret is a Licensed Counselling Therapist with the College of Counselling Therapists of New Brunswick, whose passion is to provide her clients with presence and care as she walks with them through life’s challenges. With 15 years of experience, Margaret has Masters’ Degrees in both Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and Theology, Pastoral Care and Counselling from Acadia Divinity College. She runs a private counselling practice out of her home in Saint John, NB.
Margaret also has specialized training in Crisis & Trauma Response and feels especially called to help her clients explore values, meaning and purpose in life, as well as grow in faith and resilience in times of uncertainty. She believes in meeting people where they are and helping them feel truly seen and heard.
Margaret has been married to Terry for close to 27 years, has three grown stepchildren and 4 grandchildren. She loves traveling, learning new things, and being by the ocean. She has made RiverCross Church in Saint John her spiritual home and is active in their Community Outreach and Hospitality Ministries.
